Hello everyone, My tour south again will be March 1-10th 08 in Governador Valadares, Brazil. This place is excellent for learning to thermal and x-country flying . Easy thermals 2-5m/sec climb rates, easy cloud flying and nice transitions from cloud to cloud . It is flat land flying from a high mountain site , we can fly 360 degrees with light winds most days . Cross country flights of up to 170 km are possible and 5-6 hours air time are not uncommon!
I will be supplying guiding , instruction on thermal and x-c flying , transportation from GV to the mountain , and accommodation. Cost is 130.00 per day. You will need , a valid passport , a brasilian visa http://www.consbrastoronto.org/1024/visas_eligibilities.htm Visa 's are good for 5 years .
